MISSION >

It is our mission to fuel the sustainable fashion movement, by providing a curated collection of vintage fashion. Clients have the option of buying, consigning or renting vintage fashion from House of Strut.  We proudly support local artists & non-profits, operating as a mindful community conduit by giving back to the citizens of Savannah.

 HISTORY LESSON >

House of Strut opened its doors in October of 2015, in the Starland District with a goal of providing a curated vintage fashion collection for all. Erica Cobb Jarman, owner/operator, started picking vintage fashion with her mother & grandmother in the late 90s and over many years, built a sustainable vintage fashion collection.

Erica grew up in Marietta, GA, but as an adult lived in New York City and Savannah, where she continued her pursuit of vintage fashion, live music, and art while supporting her local community. After many years of climbing the ladder in "Corporate America", Erica let go of the fear and chose to seek a new life of related to her interests, fashion, music, art and awareness.

COMMUNITY CONDUIT >

For the last 4 years House of Strut has thrown 57 events, supporting the local music and art scene, raising funds and awareness for important organizations that include WRUU community radio, Planned Parenthood, Earth Day Savannah, Savannah Riverkeeper, Savannah Arts Academy, and Loop It Up Savannah, just to name a few.

STARLAND DISTRICT >

We are proudly apart of the Starland Arts District, the creative district of Savannah, giving home to many local artists and creative businesses in Savannah. We encourage you to discover more in the Starland District.

SUPPORTING THE SAVANNAH MUSIC SCENE >

House of Strut values the Savannah music scene, and fuels the incredible talent that resides in this city by hosting many shows for local and touring acts. House of Strut has hosted more than 55 bands and musical acts at the shop, and going forward, we will highlight original music on First Fridays in 2019.

To further support the Savannah music scene, House of Strut records a "Live at House of Strut" album each year, with a limited run, highlighting two of their favorite local bands, Twisty Cats and Street Clothes. We are excited to announce the third House of Strut album will be released January 2019 with dream-pop synth-driven band, Bero Bero.

When Erica isn't hustling, she focuses on spending time with her son, Wyatt.
